Anderson Takes Care of Anderson
The invisible virus has brought us all into introspection, and made us pause and think of our priorities and reflect on the common good. As we are all aware, the current situation has taken an economic toll on many families and many have lost their livelihood in the process.
We cannot fix the all issues and the challenges in different parts of the world. We can pray for everyone's safety and healing. We can make a difference by showing our love and affection to the people who live in Anderson, especially those who are in financial need to provide food for themselves and their families.
We have identified three faith based organisations which have been helping the Andersonians for a long time, by providing food (i.e. meat, vegetables, fruits, and all types of groceries as per the need). Because of the current COVID-19 situation, the demand has increased exponentially.
This GoFundMe has been created under the Anderson Interfaith Ministries (AIM) organization in order to raise $11,000 for the next four months. The money will be mainly distributed to three organizations and to children who may need free lunches during summer holidays.
Below are the three organizations whom we are raising money for:
1. AIM - Serves food packages weekly for 150-160 families. Groceries worth 100 dollars are given to each family.
2. Anderson Emergency Kitchen -Serves nearly 100 people hot food from Monday to Friday
3. Orrville Baptist Church - Distributes meals for at least 60 people per day from Monday to Friday
Donations that are sent to the non-profit organization AIM are tax deductible.
We greatly appreciate everyone's contributions. May God bless you.
Yours Sincerely,
Dr Gowdhami Mohan
