<Angel Flight 48 States Project for COVID-19 Relief>

COVID-19 is still soaring at this very moment in the States.

“What can we do to help as pilots?”

We (Dongjin Lee & Jiwoo Yoon) are going to fly all 48 contiguous states while transporting medical supplies through the non-profit organization "Angel Flight West" as we go.

Angel Flight West is formed of licensed pilots who are not only capable of transporting patients who are in need of immediate surgery or treatment but also contribute to the pivotal role of transporting medical supplies to locations that are in most need under the COVID-19 pandemic.

This continental US flight will accomplish raising awareness on COVID-19 and let people know that everyone can fight together against this pandemic.

I hope our project will cause the butterfly effect and bring about a great storm of hopes around the country and the world. It will begin with just two pilots but unimaginable number of pilots will be participating in the project and be another angel pilots. This flight project will allow greater love for humanity.

Total Distance of the Project: 8,719 miles.
Through this project, we wish to fundraise $1 per mile so we can donate the collective total funds of 87,19 dollars to Angel Flight West.  

The funds will be utilized in aspects of the mission operation, such as delivering COVID-19 relief supplies and transporting patients who require urgent surgery. Eventually, we wish to help patients with cancer/leukemia and other rare diseases through this fundraiser.

한국인인 우리는 미국에서 비행훈련을 했고 파일럿이 되었다.
2020년 끝이 보이지 않는 전쟁같은 팬데믹이 시작 되었고,
우리(이동진, 윤지우)는 스스로에게 질문을 던졌다.

“파일럿으로서 우리가 세상에 어떤 도움을 줄 수 있을까?”

때마침 Angel Flight West라는
미국 비영리 자선단체를 알게되었다.
파일럿 라이센스를 가진 사람들이 비행기로
긴급 수술환자, 혈액, 장기 등을 운반하며 
희망을 나르는 곳이었다.

뿐만 아니라, 코비드19 사태로 의료진의 손길이 닿지 않는 작은 마을에
긴급의료물품을 이송하는 중추적인 역할을 하는 단체이다.

우린 이 단체의 파일럿이 되어 하늘을 날기로 결정했다.


미국에는 약 664,565명의 파일럿이 있다.
하지만 엔젤 플라잇과 함께 하는 파일럿은 작은 숫자에 불과하다.

그래서 미국 내 모든 파일럿이 Angel 파일럿이 되었으면 하는 염원을 담아,
<미국 48개주 의료물품 비행 수송 및 기부금 모금 프로젝트>를 시작한다.

- 비행 총 거리 8719 miles
- 1마일당 1불씩  - 87,19불 기금 모금
- Angel Flight West 전액 기부
- 암환자/ 루키미아 환자/ 백혈병 및 희귀병 환자 이송, 의료물품의 수송 자금으로 사용


의료진이나 파일럿만이 세상에 도움을 줄 수 있는 것은 결코 아니다.
Angel Flight의 이름처럼, 우리 모두가 따뜻한 천사가 될 수 있다.
우리의 여정이 외롭지 않도록, 펀딩에 많은 사람들 꼭 참여해줬으면 좋겠다.
