Hi, my name is Dilya, and I am an international student pursuing a Master’s in Nonprofit Administration (MNA) at North Park University. Animal welfare has always been close to my heart, and through my studies and personal experiences, I have become increasingly passionate about supporting local animal rescue efforts.
Recently, I adopted two wonderful kittens—one from the Animal Rescue Foundation (A.R.F.) and another from an independent foster organization. While these organizations work tirelessly to provide safe havens for animals, I have witnessed firsthand the overwhelming challenges they face due to limited resources and increasing demands.
Why We Need Your Help
Across the U.S., animal shelters are at capacity, with many struggling to meet the needs of rescued pets. In my local community, pet owners often face heartbreaking situations where they can no longer care for their beloved companions, but finding safe accommodations or rehoming options can be incredibly difficult. Shelters like A.R.F. are lifelines for these animals, but they depend heavily on financial support to continue their mission of rescuing and rehoming pets in need.
