About Arts Gowanus Inc.

Arts Gowanus supports, promotes, and advocates for artists and a sustainable creative community in Gowanus, Brooklyn. We nurture relationships among individual artists, arts organizations, local businesses, and the community. We are passionate about the role that art and artists play as co-creators of a community identity and fabric. Best known for organizing the annual Gowanus Open Studios, we also nurture artistic collaborations and exhibitions, host networking and business meetings, present professional development workshops, and produce public art works. We work to include the voice of artists in the many policy-making decisions that the city is undertaking regarding the Gowanus area.
