Operation Home
Over the last three years, Anne Arundel County has made a lot of progress in ending veteran homelessness. Johnny, who was living on the streets for 20 years after his service, now has a safe and comfortable home thanks to programs offered through the County’s Coalition to End Homelessness. Yet despite this progress, there are at least 25 homeless veterans out there—many sleeping in shelters or on the streets of our community.
We are so close to solving this issue, but still have progress to make. That is why, in partnership with Anne Arundel County Executive Steve Schuh, ACDS is launching Operation HOME. We are seeking to raise $10,000 in private donations, which will match $80,000 in new County and federal funding to provide permanent, supportive homes to those who have served our country and are homeless today. Please consider donating to this worthwhile cause to end veteran homelessness in Anne Arundel County.
