As an Asian American with roots in an individualistic culture, I and my family have firsthand experience with the damaging cultural stigmas that can surround mental health issues. That's why, starting now and throughout May, as I celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month and honor my own family and heritage, I'm championing this fundraiser to make a real difference for those who may be experiencing similar struggles or witnessing them firsthand.
