Guam REStoration for the Homeless
The Guam REStoration project is a ten month homeless outreach pilot program that begins October 2019 and ends July 2020. We will be serving 16 single homeless men who have no high school diploma.
Our goal is to provide Recovery, Education and Shelter.
Our Recovery program will provide on site substance abuse counseling, life coaching, spiritual counseling as well as helping ex-offender clients to make restitution with their victims. Our Education program will get our clients back to school and help them earn a high school diploma. And finally our Shelter program will ensure that our clients are safe, off the street and fed.
Assembly of God, Agat aka Christian Life Center in Agat is working with the Guam Homeless Coalition, Southern Christian Academy and the Guam DOC RSAT program to help address this growing crisis.
Currently we have two former prison inmates that will begin this October and more are on their way. The funds we are raising is to match dollar for dollar, the generous contribution of the facilities and education services that are being provided by Christian Life Center and Southern Christian Academy.
Guam has a growing homeless problem, many of whom struggle because they can't get a job because they do not have a diploma.
