We are dedicated to helping families overcome the issues that contribute to homelessness, including domestic violence and unemployment. Our mission is to break the cycle of poverty for families facing homelessness by building pathways to long-term self-sufficiency, and providing quality early childhood education.

For the last 5 years all of my family and friends have helped me celebrate Thanksgiving by donating turkeys and all the trimmings for those families served by Atlanta Children's Shelter that are celebrating their first holiday at home after OVERCOMING HOMELESSNESS!

Adding to the list of the things that COVID-19 has put taken the fun out of, we can't do the baskets this year. But I am hoping to provide each one of these families a $100 grocery gift card.  This year, more than ever, I would like to ask you to help me support these families in need. I know this isn't as fun as y'all hauling turkeys around, dropping pounds of rice and potatoes on my front steps, or the strange joy my sister gets from buying 20 cans of corn. But we have to do something.  We cant let this holiday pass without recognizing these families' success.

The Georgia Epsilon chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon, located at Emory University will be hosting their inaugural Paddy Murphy Week April 19th-22nd. All proceeds from the week will be donated to the Atlanta Children's Shelter. The Atlanta Children's Shelter provides free, quality day care, emotional support, an educational curriculum for homeless children, and focused social services for their families. Dedicated to helping families overcome the issues that contribute to homelessness, including domestic violence and job loss, the Atlanta Children's Shelter focuses on the long term self sufficiency of the family – which sets them apart from other Atlanta homeless shelters.
