Who this will help
My name is Dr. Dusanka Gradiski Ivanova and I am the Artistic Director, Ballet Master, and Choreographer of the Ballet Academy of St. Petersburg. I will be visiting New York City next month as the first professional ballet artist and director in Florida, to receive the Tesla Science Foundation Award.
Why I'm fundraising
The Tesla Science Foundation is a non-profit organization, aimed to promote the heritage of Serbian-American inventor Nikola Tesla. The award is to raise awareness about Tesla's patents and inventions and how they have influenced our daily lives today.
The impact of your support
The reason why I am setting up this fundraiser is to help with travel, accommodations, food costs, choreography, and the dancers presenting my choreography piece about Tesla at the Award Ceremony. It will to be held at the New Yorker hotel, in NYC on January 13th, 2024, where Tesla lived the last ten years of his life. So, I am very honored, together with my dancers, to contribute an art to Tesla and about Tesla; bridging the gap between science and art.
