Be a blessing buffalo

Be a Blessing Buffalo is a 501c3 non-profit organization located in Buffalo, NY, and is 100% donation-based. Our mission is to bring gifts to families who have lost their jobs, are struggling to provide for their family, fighting terminal illness, shut-in seniors, runaway teens, have had tragedy or a life-altering situation occur, or have been affected by homelessness. These people are a part of our community, and we feel very strongly about coming together to help those who are in need. During the past four holiday seasons, we have had the opportunity to help over 2,100 children and also 700 homeless men and women.

Our organization was created in honor of our father, John Tolley, who passed unexpectedly in June of 2019. Our father always believed that as a society, we are losing the actual importance of the holiday season by focusing on only the commercial aspect of it all. During our last Christmas spent together, we as a family adopted a family in need, providing food and gifts so they could enjoy Christmas with the same joy we have been fortunate enough to have. To honor my father's love for God and the importance of giving back to those in need that he instilled in all of us, we decided to keep this tradition alive and restore the true meaning of Christmas.

Be a Blessing Buffalo is planning on helping over 600 children and over 200 men and women this holiday season. We will be filling backpacks with socks, underwear, hats, gloves, and toiletries, and fulfilling wish lists written by the children themselves. We are looking for those in our community that share the same passion we have, and who would like to participate in our organization. This holiday season, you can help by donating gifts, adopting a family, donating to our GoFundMe page, becoming a corporate sponsor, or having your business be a drop-off location for donations.

We thank all of our friends, families, and businesses who have donated, collected gifts, or volunteered throughout the years. Buffalo really is the "City of Good Neighbors" and our community proves to show the love and compassion we feel is shared by those around us.
