A captivating mural painting is planned to be created at Mary W. Jackson Magnet STEM Dual Language Academy, dedicated to honoring the legacy of NASA's first female African-American engineer, Mary W. Jackson. This project is a remarkable collaboration between renowned design firm Gensler, the non-profit organizations Beautify Earth and Amigos De Los Rios.
To support this initiative and make a positive impact, the organizers are seeking assistance in raising funds for the supplies and creation of the mural which will be a symbol of inspiration and representation for the school and its community. It will be a testament to Mary W. Jackson's groundbreaking achievements, highlighting her significant role in NASA's history and her impact as a trailblazer for women, particularly African-American women, in the field of engineering.
