Puppy Cash fund
Update, Happy prayers! Surgery cost has been updated from the estimate to be less than what was predicted to cost. Cash puppy surgery cost $1,500 and all you donors have gotten us halfway there.
Cash story: Cash needs our help. Cash is one pup out of a surrendered group of 14 puppies. Cash waited 5 months to find his own home. He was adopted a few months ago and thought he had hit the jack-pot. But now his luck has changed a bit. Cash started favoring his front leg right before he was adopted, Bedford Humane Society reached out to medical advice and it appeared to be a deformity or an old injury that healed wrong. The future was supposed to be, Cash may get sore if he over uses it but after rest should be ok. Now that Cash has grown to a proper body size, the shoulder joint has become very painful. After seeking two more veterinary advise, it appears the ball joint is no longer in the socket and the socket is damaged beyond repair. This is not by any fault of misdiagnose, it is how the joint developed. Cash new owner is asking for help. This amputation will cost $3,500 (has been updated to $1,500) plus lots of time and therapy to heal. You can make a difference by donating today to Bedford Humane Society. Bedford Humane Society will forward all donations to Smithmountain Lake Animal Hospital where Cash is having his surgery. We understand times are tough but just a few dollars will make a difference. Bedford Humane Society appreciates your help.
Cash surgery has been re-scheduled to 7th May.
