Support Migrants Being Bused to DC from Texas!
Since April 2022, Governor Abbott has been busing asylum seekers to DC from the border as part of a racist and cruel publicity stunt. Both Mayor Bowser and President Biden have largely ignored our new neighbors. However, the DC, Maryland, and Virginia community has shown up every single day to welcome our folks and continues to support the over 1.5k migrants who have chosen to settle in the area.
The community has come together to provide food, housing, transportation, clothes, and medical support, among other things. Over the past year, we have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars supporting our new neighbors, not including the supplies people have purchased off our wishlist or in-kind donations. The majority of this effort is grassroots funded.

Fundraiser details:
The Migrant Solidarity Mutual Aid Network (MSMAN) is made up of community organizations and hundreds of individual volunteers who are committed to supporting migrants arriving in DC. Anchored by Peace House DC, Beloved Community Incubator, East of the River Mutual Aid, and Sanctuary DMV, the network has been showing up, since the first Texas bus arrived in April 2022, to welcome our new neighbors through solidarity, not charity.
Funds from the gofundme will be going to Beloved Community Incubator.
