About Bird Endowment

Bird Endowment is on a mission to save the critically endangered Blue-throated Macaw in the wild in the Beni Savanna of Bolivia, the birds endemic range. Our goal is to increase the wild population and well-being of the Blue-throated Macaw Ara glaucogularis in accordance with the species recovery plan by supporting and developing efforts to: 1) Research, monitor and protect nesting and foraging habitat 2) Educate local and global interest groups about conservation activities. Our main campaign is the Nido Adoptivo™ “adopted nest” project, in partnership with the Bolivian NGO Asociación Armonía, raises funds through donations and nest box sponsorships to build, monitor and protect the nest boxes on the Laney Rickman Blue-throated Macaw Reserve in Bolivia.
