West Point Town Square Funding: Phase 2
The Blue Mountain Players have been performing live amateur theater in West Point since 1995. We are now embarking on a new and exciting project. The theater is partnering with the community to create a welcoming town square in the heart of this tiny Sierra Nevada foothill village. Currently a vacant lot, we envision creating a space to play, picnic and perform. The town square will be developed in phases.
Phase 1: Completed. We purchased the property for $45,000 with funds that were donated and/or borrowed. We have paid PG&E $4,250.00 for work they will do to drop power from their pole onto the property. Water and septic have also been installed on the property. The water and septic hookups are a fixed cost of approximately $450.00 ever two months.
We are currently raising $10,000 for Phase 2.
Phase 2 costs will be $5,000 for power infrastructure on the property, $1,200 for plans and drawings, $500.00 erosion control (waddles), $750 for electrical engineering services and $2,500 for miscellaneous expenses.
As a non-profit, 501(c)(3), any contributions to the Blue Mountain Players for the West Point Town Square are fully tax deductible.
Please join us in investing in the future to help make this dream a reality.
