We need your help! We are doing great work, but need more support from amazing people like you. You can make a real difference!
At "Books of John," we are dedicated to providing essential home maintenance services to widows, widowers, and the elderly in our community. In our begining 6 months, we have added ~30 new clients, completed over 250 volunteer hours saving them over $25,000 in unnecessary home maintenance charges. Now, we need your help to expand our services and hire a full-time handyman to better serve our community.
Our Mission:
Our mission is simple: to offer a helping hand to those who need it most. We believe that no elderly person should struggle with home repairs or maintenance tasks they cannot manage and/or afford. By providing these services for free or at a significantly reduced cost, we aim to improve the quality of life for our elderly neighbors, ensuring they can live in safe, well-maintained homes.
What We've Achieved:
75+ Jobs Completed: From fixing leaky faucets to repairing broken windows, our dedicated volunteers have tackled a wide range of home maintenance tasks.
~30 with more added everyday! We are currently helping over 30 elderly individuals with their home maintenance needs.
$25,000+ Saved: Our services have saved these individuals more than $25,000 in unnecessary home maintenance charges.
Our Goal:
We are seeking to raise $75,000 to expand our offerings and services. The funds will be used to:
Employ a Full-Time Handyman: Hiring a professional will allow us to provide more consistent and reliable service to those in need.
Expand Our Services: With additional funding, we can broaden the range of services we offer, including more complex repairs and maintenance tasks.
Reach More Individuals: Increasing our capacity will enable us to assist more widows, widowers, and elderly individuals in our community.
