Boston Irish Wolfhounds RFC

The Boston Irish Wolfhounds RFC Division 2 side will travel to Austin, TX for the USA Rugby National Club Championships May 18-19 and looks for your support! The hounds return to the national championships after falling 3 heartbreaking point short (15-12) in the semi-finals against 2023 Champion Denver Barbarians last year. The hounds are on a revenge mission this year after dominating NERFU competition in the fall and dispatching several strong clubs on the way to the final four. This squad has a great chance to bring the silverware back to Boston/Canton, but the lads need your help to cover travel expenses to Austin just 2 weeks after traveling to the elite 8 in Delaware.

The support from our friends, family, and fans has helped get us this far, and anything you can do to help will take us one step closer to the long-awaited championship!

UPDATE: The Wolfhounds have advanced to the Final 4 in St. Louis on June 3-4! Thanks to all of your generous contributions thus far, we have been able to support our players and staff along the way. Now we are looking for one more push to help us bring home the D2 National Championship to Boston!

The Boston Irish Wolfhounds is one of the premier rugby clubs in the United States, competing in the New England Rugby Union Division II. Our club boasts the fighting spirit and camaraderie that have served as our guiding principles since the club’s foundation in 1989. The Wolfhounds embody the international nature of rugby, bringing together the closely linked communities of Boston and Ireland with players representing from all over Ireland, the United States, France, Argentina, Spain, New Zealand, England, Australia, Canada, South Africa and Venezuela.

As of November 2022, the Hounds have been crowned NERFU Champs for the first time in almost a decade. In our quest for the 2023 Division II National Championship, our first stop is Richmond, VA for the Rounds of 16 & 8.

With this ambitious endeavor comes the costs of travel & accommodations which we would truly appreciate any support from the larger Wolfhounds community. Anything helps as we embark on this sure to be incredible journey as a club.
