RALLY FOR RHYS
Rhys (pronounced as Reece) is a sweet 5-month-old Schnauzer/doodle who was subjected to severe trauma early in life.
Rhys was found Wednesday evening in Lowell, MA under a bridge and unable to walk.
He was taken to Westford Veterinary Emergency and Referral Center (WVERC) in Westford, MA, where it was discovered that he was suffering from two broken hind legs.
After consulting with two orthopedic specialists, it was determined that Rhys would need surgery immediately.
Rhys is scheduled for surgery on Monday, December 4, 2023. His surgery will cost approximately $6500.
Boston Work Horse Relief Association Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that is collecting donations to cover the cost of Rhys' surgery.
All proceeds will be donated for Rhys' surgery or to assist other animals in need.
Many thanks and appreciation to WVERC’s Director of Emergency Services, Dr. Rachel Duffany; WVERC’s Veterinarian Dr. Alexis Jacobsen and the WVERC's Veterinary Orthopedic Team. A special thanks to Veterinary Specialty Center of Sturbridge’s Dr. Paul McCarthy for his consultation.
