Our Survivor sister retreat supports and starts the healing of our sisters who have been affected by DV. This is a life-changing retreat and Btsadv could use your help to make this retreat a blessed experience for all involved and be the change we need to end DV forever.
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to you on behalf of Break the Silence Against Domestic Violence an organization dedicated to “We envision a world without domestic violence. By breaking our silence, we aim to create a world without domestic violence where every man, woman, and family can feel safe and protected. To provide a community of resources and support services to victims, survivors, and families affected by domestic violence. We are committed to survivors of domestic violence.” As a prominent figure in Colorado Springs, CO, and the nation, your support, donation, and partnership would greatly enhance our efforts to make a meaningful impact in our community.
One of the pressing issues we are currently addressing is the rampant censorship of discussions surrounding domestic violence on social media platforms. It is with a heavy heart that I share our ongoing struggle against censorship. In recent times, we have encountered unprecedented challenges in spreading awareness about domestic violence. Shockingly, social media platforms have deemed discussions about this critical issue as "too radical" or "political." They have resorted to using AI algorithms to censor our content, targeting keywords like violence, abuse, murder, and assault.
This censorship has resulted in our posts being banned or shadowed in newsfeeds, and in some instances, entire platforms have been taken down. Such hindrances not only affect our organization but also impede progress in combating domestic violence. Our social media presence plays a crucial role in raising awareness, educating the public, and providing support to survivors. However, with our reach being significantly reduced, our ability to fulfill our mission is severely compromised.
Despite these challenges, BTSADV refuses to be silenced!!! We are committed to ensuring that the voices of survivors are heard, and we will continue to shine a light on domestic violence until it is eradicated from our communities. Our determination in this cause is unwavering, but we need your support now more than ever.
As we navigate these challenges, we urge you to stand with us. Together, we can overcome censorship and ensure that the issue of domestic violence receives the attention it deserves. Here's how you can help:
Spread the Word: Share our posts, stories, and resources with your networks. By amplifying our message, you help us reach a wider audience and break through the barriers of censorship. ( facebook.com/btsadv, instagram.com/btsadv, youtube.com/btsadv )
Engage with Our Content: Like, comment, and interact with our social media posts. Engagement signals to the algorithms that our content is valuable and worthy of being seen by more people.
Donate: Your financial support enables us to continue our advocacy work and provide essential services to survivors. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference.
Advocate for Change: Join us in calling on social media platforms to end censorship of discussions around domestic violence. Together, we can demand accountability and transparency in content moderation policies.
In conclusion, I want to express my gratitude to each and every one of you who has stood by us and stand by us now, in this fight. Your unwavering support fuels our determination to press on, despite the obstacles we face. However, I must be transparent with you. The current economic climate and the challenges of censorship have placed significant strain on our organization's finances. Without increased donations, we may face the heartbreaking possibility of having to close our doors. Despite the obstacles we face. Together, we will break the silence and be the change to end domestic violence.
Thank you for considering our request. We look forward to the possibility of collaborating with you and making a lasting impact together.
