Help Camp Krem recover from wildfire and theft!
Who is Camp Krem?
Camp Krem is a Boulder Creek non-profit that has offered out-of-home respite care for children, teens, and adults with developmental disabilities since 1957. They are a beloved institution in the local community serving 800 + campers through their summer camp program and hundreds more during their year-round Respite Program. Their programs help foster independence and responsibility among camp-goers while providing caregivers relief from daily demands.

In 2020, Camp Krem made the difficult decision to cancel onsite events including their summer camp due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Since then, they have transitioned to a fully virtual model providing a variety of classes including cooking/baking, yoga, zumba, crafts, game night, social clubs, etc.
In August, the camp burned down in the CZU Lighting Complex fires. When the fire hit, no one was hurt but the camp suffered $5 million in losses. Everything was destroyed and recovery will likely take years.

Last month, they were hit again by yet another disaster when the camp was vandalized and robbed. A $10K generator was stolen and 5 of the Camp’s vans were ransacked and destroyed. Gas was siphoned and the windows were smashed out, destroying the only asset salvaged from the fire.

What is the need?
Camp Krem has suffered total losses due to this heartbreaking string of events. According to Christina Krem, their needs are “many and varied”. In addition to the total cost of rebuilding, they still require funds for daily operations. The money will help provide ongoing services and help cover rebuilding costs. Every donation helps on their road to recovery!
What will your money provide?
Camp Krem will provide updated information on where the funds are being used.
Who we are:
Homebound is a team of construction, real estate, design, and technology experts, who came together to create a better way to rebuild the community that many of us call home. We were founded following the 2017 Tubbs Fire that devastated Northern California destroying the home of one of our co-founders and impacting many of our team members. We're recurrently rebuilding homes lost in the Boulder Creek area to the CZU fire.
We know what it’s like to lose everything in an instant and how overwhelming it can seem to rebuild, so when we heard about what happened at Camp Krem we were moved to action. Join Homebound in an effort to help Camp Krem begin the long road to recovery. We have pledged to match every dollar raised through this campaign.
