Hurricane Ian Rebuilding - Cape Coral Rowing Club
We wish we weren't writing this or asking for help; however, on Wednesday, Sept 28th, Hurricane Ian completely destroyed the Cape Coral Rowing Club. Our boats were secured at a location in Cape Coral, Florida, the day Hurricane Ian wreaked havoc on our Southwest Florida community of Cape Coral, Fort Myers, and so many towns in SWFL. Seeing a brand new boathouse and so much equipment destroyed has brought our children and families to tears. Safety boats, sweep and skulling boats and everything in between need to be replaced. It feels overwhelming -- where to begin to rebuild and start over? We know there is so much devastation in SWFL, and our story is one of many. We ask for your help rebuilding this for our community and our children. Please consider helping our students, our community and rowing family. For anyone that has been a part of this sport, it is more than rowing. The life lesson is immeasurable, and we hope to restore some aspect of 'normal life' for our kids.
Please pass this along through any form of social media that will help the cause! Any donation, no matter how small, is appreciated more than you can imagine!
