Ted Savage had a 10-yr career in major league baseball in the 1960’s and 70’s. He said goodbye to the field in 1971 and he eventually rejoined the St.Louis Cardinals front office in marketing and community relations. He remembered what it was like to grow up in an underserved community without access to baseball fields and equipment and created a way to fund a newly established program called RBI - Reviving Baseball in the Inner City by starting an annual golf tournament. When Ted retired in 2012, the Cardinals named the tournament the Ted Savage Golf Classic and now in memory of Ted’s passing away on 1/12/23 we are looking for a way to make this the largest year of donation to the RBI in Ted’s name.
