Carpenter's Shelter

Alexandria Restaurant Partners  (ARP) is committed to making a positive impact in our community. During this uncertain time, ARP will continue our partnership supporting Carpenter's Shelter (https://carpentersshelter.org/) to deliver meals to those in need.

Carpenter’s Shelter’s mission is to support the homeless in achieving sustainable independence through shelter, guidance, education, and advocacy.   The organization has evolved from a small group of concerned citizens providing shelter from the cold to an innovative leader in the effort to permanently prevent and end homelessness.

Carpenter’s Shelter is currently operating two facilities, one of which has recently moved into a new, larger, Safety Shelter to allow their clients and staff the space to adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Our goal is to support both shelters by providing 75 meals each time we donate food.  

For every $10 donation made, ARP will prepare a meal for the shelter’s clients.

A $300 donation will provide a meal for the entire shelter.

Each donation is essential to providing meals for our most vulnerable neighbors.  We are in this together!  #EatWellGiveBackARP

We are proud to offer the broadest range of homeless services in the City of Alexandria. Each year, more than 600 men, women, and children increase their housing stability and self-sufficiency with customized, supportive care. To further improve our effectiveness, we have undertaken an ambitious property redevelopment project that will add affordable and permanent supportive housing to our rapidly gentrifying neighborhood.
