Emily Gaggia is fundraising
Day Laborer and household worker relief fund
Please join me in creating an unrestricted fund to support day laborers and household workers here in Seattle.
Casa Latina is working closely with our worker members to continue to dispatch daily work opportunities, however, as the COVID19 pandemic spreads, calls to the worker center from the community have come to an almost complete stop, leaving our 200 plus active members without work. Because of the nature of domestic and day labor work, these families do not have access to unemployment, medical leave, food assistance or any other state or federal assistance.
Day laborers and household workers keep our city running; they care for our homes; keep our yards beautiful; and support thousands of Seattle families throughout the city with their accessible and skilled labor. Please help us show the day labor and domestic worker community the appreciation and care Seattle feels by contributing and sharing this page!
One hundred percent of the funds raised here will be used to be put into a worker relief fund and go directly to day laborers and domestic worker members at Casa Latina, who have lost work in these difficult times.
Thank you! To all of you who have supported our community for years, we see you and send you our love and MIL GRACIAS.
Love to you all, we are all in this together!
