Rad pb Cycle U raises $$ for Major Taylor Project
RAD powered by Cycle U Is a non-profit Junior bicycle racing team located in Seattle, WA with 30 members. Each year the riders train and then race in a Fall series of Cyclocross races which culminate with the National champions in December. This year because of COVID there are no large races and instead our team is doing a private race series and asking for your help to raise money that will all go to the Major Taylor charity for youth cycling.
The Junior team would like to give other youths the same opportunities they have, which is why they have chosen The Major Taylor Project, a program run by Cascade Bicycle Club Education Foundation, as their organization to support. 100% of funds raised will go to Major Taylor.
The Major Taylor Project empowers youth through bicycling. They focus on youth in underserved neighborhoods throughout central and south King County and in Pierce County. These club locations offer after-school bicycling clubs where MTP students explore their communities, build confidence and leadership skills, and discover their power to effect change. RAD Juniors will have 4 different opportunities to challenge themselves racing against their teammates in modified CX races, including time trials, head to head against similar times, and then a final four.
These Juniors are still training hard weekly, individually and as a team all while wanting to support The Major Taylor Project.
