Grace Cafe is fundraising
Washer and Dryer for Grace Cafe Daytime Services
Since Daytime Services began in April 2020, our guests have washed over 775 loads of laundry and we have washed at least 500 loads of towels and clothing donations. That's 1,275 loads in just over 17 months!
Due to this high volume, our standard washer and dryer are slowing down and starting to have mechanical issues. With your help we will be able to purchase a new commercial washer and dryer that can better handle our demands! The washer and dryer each cost just under $1,000 and an additional $2,000 is needed to install them and to re-route the dryer vent hose to better release the heat. We will continue to use the old washer and dryer for lighter loads as long as they continue to work. The addition of the new set will allow us to increase our capacity and have the ability to continue services if one machine is down.

We are a bi-location community center affiliated with Arch Street United Methodist Church. Grace Cafe is a weekly community meal serve and nurse-led wellness clinic. Daytime Services is a weekday drop-in center offering showers, laundry, case management, computer access, and other services. Serenity House is a neighborhood based community center offering adult and children's programming, healthy cooking classes and is a partner in a neighbor driven community garden, The People's Garden.
