Greatwater is an emerging development firm dedicated to doing good in Detroit's neighborhoods. While our main focus is to advance thoughtful, innovative methods for building and renovating multifamily housing, we know that buildings are just structures, and it's the neighborhoods that bring our work to life.
SUPPORT DETROIT'S NEIGHBORHOODS
We are grateful to our local partners for welcoming us in, and in return, the money YOU donate will support the following organizations across four of our focus neighborhoods (with Central Detroit Christian Community Development Corporation serving as fiscal sponsor):
- Mariner's Inn (shelter and treatment services for the homeless in Midtown)
- Urban Neighborhood Initiatives (youth development, land use/economic development, and education in Southwest Detroit)
- Central Detroit Christian Community Development Corporation (family-centered education, affordable housing development, and healthy food access in Central Detroit)
- East Village Association (community engagement + public space improvement in East Village, Greatwater's pilot neighborhood for modular new construction housing).
To encourage you to help us support our local partners and the Greatwater Detroit Century Bike Race, on Saturday, October 17th, members of the Greatwater team will ride 100 miles around Belle Isle State Park, in Detroit. That comes out to about 17 loops around the island and should take us a full day to achieve...fingers crossed for no tire blowouts! (All donations are tax deductible)
