About Central Dominican Province-Province of St Albert the Great (Central Dominican Province)

We preach in a wide variety of settings: in diocesan offices, in parishes, on college campuses, in schools, in hospitals, through the arts, in the missions, among people experiencing poverty, on the road, on the internet, and in various other specialized fields. We are part of the Order of Preachers, a religious order within the Roman Catholic Church. We are also called the Dominicans. Our provincial office is located in Chicago, Illinois, and we work primarily in the Midwest region of the United States of America, though our work extends throughout the world. We also serve in specialized apostolates such as The Dominican Shrine of St. Jude Thaddeus, The Society for Vocational Support, the 1216 Annual Fund, and the St. Dominic Mission Society.
