Ride Up to Revelation
2 Kings 2:11
and it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven
Even Elijah took a fiery chariot up to heaven. We would like to take our seniors up with an elevator to revelation. So as Elijah was lifted up, they can be lifted up also, to receive the word of God in the midst of his sanctuary. Our church has been established in Harlem for over 200 years, throughout the years we have built up the church in order to accommodate the needs of the community. Striving to make the Lords house accessible for everyone we installed a chair lift for those who were unable to climb up the stairs to the sanctuary. In the last 30 years, as we continue to give services to those that are in need, the chair lift has only been able to assist a limited amount of people due to weight restrictions, fears of falling off and wear and tear. For that reason we resort to carrying the elderly and disabled up a flight of stairs. Also as a community church we frequently hold funeral services where we physically transport the deceased up to the sanctuary. Unfortunately sometimes we don’t have the man power and are dissatisfied when having to turn away people from services held in the sanctuary.
Which is why we are asking for you to join us as we embark on our Ride Up To Revelation Campaign! We are aiming to raise $200,000 to install a New Savaria Orion elevator to accommodate the needs of all people. This elevator will be able to hold up to 2,500 pounds and accommodate 5-6 people at a time. With this installation we will be able to now satisfy the needs of the community.
