Coco’s story started with heartbreak — she was abandoned in front of Orange County Animal Services, tied to a fence and left behind. We don’t know how long she waited there, confused and scared, but we do know she never stopped hoping someone would come for her.

Thankfully, Charlie’s Corner Animal Sanctuary stepped in and pulled her to safety. For the first time in a long time, Coco was warm, safe, and surrounded by people who cared.

Now, Coco is ready for the next step but she needs a little help to get there.

Coco is sweet, affectionate, and full of personality. She adores people and loves to snuggle. But she does struggle with reactivity toward other dogs, which can make finding the right forever home more difficult.

That’s why we’re raising funds to get Coco professional training with an experienced positive-reinforcement trainer. With the right guidance, Coco can learn to feel calm and confident around other dogs, opening up so many more adoption possibilities for her.

Mama Fiona's story is one of unimaginable resilience and sacrifice. She gave birth to her nine tiny puppies—Dexter, Debra, Maria, Batista, Masuka, Quinn, Harrison, Harry, and Doakes—all alone in a cold, condemned building. Despite the harsh conditions, she fought to keep her babies alive, putting their needs before her own, even as she went without.

Fiona’s love for her puppies defines selflessness, but she couldn’t go on like this without help. When we heard about this family's desperate situation, we knew we couldn’t turn away. Thanks to an incredible volunteer named Katie, Mama Fiona and her nine “Dexter” babies were transported six hours to safety. They are now with us, warm and cared for, but their journey has just begun—and we urgently need your help to ensure this family gets everything they need to thrive.

Caring for 10 dogs is no small task. Mama Fiona and her pups need immediate vet care, vaccinations, microchips, and, when the time comes, spaying and neutering. They also need endless supplies—food, bedding, and medical treatments. And if Fiona were to stop nursing, the cost of formula alone would be overwhelming. Sundae is a friendly dog whose owner was incarcerated, and she was abandoned at a reporter’s house where she gave birth. She was brought to OCAS with her pups and we pulled this furry family. Within 3 days, Sundae declined with a visible cough and lethargy. We rushed her to the emergency vet and she was diagnosed with severe pneumonia. She has been hospitalized 3 days now and our vet bill is close to $4,000 with our rescue discount. We charged 98 percent of the bill so far on our care credit care and it's now been maxed out. We have absolutely no more funding left. Sundae desperately needs this treatment to have a chance at recovery and survival. She hasn't improved. We need help.

As of 11/5/24 at 7:00PM Sundae isn't improving. She is receiving the best care and treatment plan. She is eating, but only small amounts and she has to be hand fed. Otherwise she will not eat. We have sent another $550 to get X-rays and after that, we no longer have any more funds. The x-rays will be able to tell us what exactly is going on and we will go from there. Not only is it not fair to Sundae, but also to our other rescue dogs that we still need to provide vet care for. We need your help desperately to give Sundae the chance to live. We cannot do this without funding. We never expected this when pulling Sundae, and it's just devastating.
