Charlotte Farms Animal Sanctuary

Hi,

Charlotte Farms is a farm animal sanctuary.

We save and rescue abused and neglected animals and give them a safe and loving forever home. We have over 200 animals that we rescued and keep getting requests.

Our beautiful farm is open every Sunday and on holidays for people to come see the work we do and get educated on animal cruelty that is out there.

We are in a battle for our life with the township to stay open.

They are trying every which way to shut us down. We do not know why or what their problem with us is.

We have spent every month in court since we purchased the property two years ago.

The town's newest way to shut us down arrived in the mail yesterday.

We were granted non-profit status for our farm, which exempted us from paying property taxes. The town decided 2 days ago that they are only allowing us to exempt 5 acres of our property and the rest they are billing us retroactively! This put us in a default for the entire calendar year of taxes and allows them to put our property up for tax sale.

They sent us the letter on December 2nd with a deadline to pay $9372.80 by December 27th!

WE NEED A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE!

Please, please help us reach our goal so we can pay off our taxes.

Oh, and we will be appealing every penny of taxes, but they gave us an impossible deadline with no time to fight.

Please help our animals keep their home!
