Thank you so much for stopping by this GoFundMe page. My name is Monica, and I’m the president of Chester’s Place Animal Sanctuary—a new animal rescue dedicated to helping senior, terminally ill, or difficult animals that have not been adopted. At Chester’s Place, we provide a space that holds compassion, hope and love for the rescues before they cross the rainbow bridge.

 

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Piggy, and ask for your support to help give her more days to live her best life.

 

Piggy was rescued from death row at the NYC ACC. She then spent years in a shelter and a boarding kennel upstate. She was so deserving of a family, but her personality quirks made it difficult. Unfortunately, she never found her forever home, and now at fourteen years old, she has been diagnosed with Lymphoma Stage 3 (a poor prognosis in a dog). So my team and I have taken Piggy out of the shelter environment and into Chester’s Place, where she will live the rest of her life.

 

We’ve decided to move forward with chemotherapy as long as the quality of life is maintained. We want to offer her the best life possible for as long as we can. Piggy is happy in her new home and has a new canine friend, Spot. She goes for short walks and spends most of her day on the couch resting or in the yard smelling the flowers. She is easily pleased and wants love and companionship.

 

At the moment, Piggy has received two out of her five chemotherapy treatments. These treatments have given her more days to feel love and belonging before crossing the rainbow bridge. We are asking for donations to help us raise funds to pay for the remaining treatments. Our goal is to raise $3,500. Any donations are welcomed.
