Building Coffee, Hip-Hop & Mental Health
We take pride in physically showing up in our community. It’s how we began and it’s a promise we intend to keep. Since our inception, we've created many safe spaces to actively fight against and advance uncomfortable conversations about topics such as poverty, racial injustices, suicide prevention and more. From June 2020 until now, we’ve fed more than 10,000 families, provided weekly group therapy to nearly 1,000 people and 10 free therapy sessions to over 100 individuals each. By the end of this year, we project that we will have spent $250,000 on group and individual therapy.
To immediately raise $177,000 for our permanent headquarters, and $1.5 million by December 31, 2022, to continue funding our individual and group therapy program, fully stock inventory and supplies, expand our barista staff, acquire proper licensing and permits, pay accounting and legal fees, hire a full-time operations manager and grant writer, cover marketing and grand opening expenses, and any other additional contingencies. We are making progress, a difference and we have a future: We are in the process of building our very own café and headquarters, located at 1051 W. Belmont on the north side of Chicago.
Help us reach our mission.
