Critical Surgical Care in Ukraine
Children of War Foundation and Dr. William Novick Founder have joined forces to provide necessary pediatric cardiac surgery to children in Ukraine who would otherwise not have the intervention they require. Please note, that this trip has been funded and is fully supported by Children of War Foundation.

Funds raised will go towards airline tickets for an international team, who have taken time off of work to volunteer, access luggage and shipment of supplies (some purchase and some donated), equipment, transportation & potential financial burdens that may occur while our team is on the ground providing surgical care in unstable conditions. Your support is needed more than ever today.

We are also working towards deploying additional medical and humanitarian aid relief trips within the month as the influx of refugees takes a toll on surrounding healthcare systems.

Education is not a luxury, but a basic human right. Education is necessary to drive change and it is the stepping stone to a better future for refugees, for Jordan, and for the Middle East

This is why the Run4Refugees initiative was born to provide high-quality education to refugee students who are not given the opportunity and tools in life which can unlock the hidden potential in them that can result in inventions and creations which have the power to drive immense change in our region.

A dedicated team of university students from all around the world will be fundraising $10,500 to support the education of refugees. Additionally, we will be running from the dead sea to the red sea. To run with refugees on their journey of education and to give them hope that there is a better future awaiting them.

Let us all run together towards a better future by lending the hand of hope, the hand of education, and the hand of a better future to refugees.

Nour, age 13, hasn’t been to school since she fled from Syria to Jordan almost four years ago. Before having her basic right stripped away from her, she was one of the top students in her grade. Today, she spends her days working 12-hour shifts at a farm in exchange for shelter. In our world, only 2 out of 10 refugee adolescents, attend school. (Source: :Refugee education in crisis: three standout statistics by UNHCR,2016.)

In an effort to combat this problem in Jordan, which is home to one of the largest refugee populations, the Children of War Foundation (COWF) and online learning platform Abwaab have teamed up to help refugee adolescents continue their education at their own pace regardless of their circumstances.

After a successful pilot program, where most vulnerable students - Nour being one of them - spent as many as four hours per day learning on the Abwaab platform, COWF and Abwaab decided to launch this fundraiser in order to reach as many vulnerable students as possible.But to achieve that we need your help.To support a student for one full year, it costs 150JDS/210USD to provide a tablet, internet and access to our online learning platform. Any contribution however can make a difference.

For every full contribution we will match it by providing a free Abwaab subscription key to another less-privileged student in need.
