San Francisco Children need YOUR HELP to experience the magic of a live Circus under a tent in the heart of San Francisco!
In December 2023 Circus Bella - San Francisco’s beloved and only One-Ring Circus - will expand our programming to create a new winter holiday tradition – Kaleidoscope. Bay Area children are counting on you to make it a reality.
For three weeks this winter Circus Bella will set up a Big-Top 375-seat circus tent at the Crossing at East Cut in downtown San Francisco. Presented in our new winter home, Kaleidoscope is an exciting original winter extravaganza - featuring diverse World-Class Circus Performers and a Live Band presented by Circus Bella - the Bay Area’s homegrown classic circus!
Through this campaign, we are hoping to raise $20,000 of our $100,000 total goal.
Circus Bella’s Big Top Circus Tent is a high-visibility, eye-popping destination that will draw visitors into downtown San Francisco. However, bringing this touring summer circus to downtown San Francisco is ambitious. We urgently need your help to increase the size of our organization and operating budget from $450,000 to $1,000,000 to realize our vision and bring more joy to our beloved city by the bay.
Doubling our budget is the next step to reaching a wider audience and increasing our long-term sustainability. Year-round staffing means we will be reaching school classes and families gathered for the holidays to get them to experience a live circus. More shows over a longer season means more living-wage work for performers and more art and magic for Bay Area audiences!

Who We Are:
Circus Bella is a women-led organization with a storied tradition of unifying people across the Bay Area with high-flying acrobatics and infectious humor set to a rhythmically comedic live band.
Since 2018 Circus Bella has:
- Added more dates to the FREE Circus in the Parks season. In 2022 we reached over 13,000 people across 25 shows in the Bay Area, Laguna Beach, and Reno.
- Offered a full-time salary and benefits for our Executive Director
- Opened an office in the historic Flood Building (Maltese Falcon!) in downtown San Francisco
- Switched all artists, band members, and crew from Independent Contractors to Employees
- In 2023 we were awarded funding from The National Endowment for the Arts
We hope you can support this truly unique San Francisco non-profit arts organization. Now, more than ever, we all need opportunities to sit down with our neighbors and laugh under the magic of a Circus Tent.
Circus = life!
