Protect the heritage and heart of Clear Lake, WI
The old adage, "they just don't build them like that anymore" could have been written with the Clear Lake Area Community Center gymnasium in mind. The massive laminated wood super-structure, the tongue and groove wood ceiling coupled with the fold-up wood bleachers and formal theater performance stage make this gymnasium a beautiful work of art worthy of preservation. This building has watched over generations of Clear Lake families and has acted as the backdrop to millions of memories.
Just as important, the facility continues to be a vibrant part of the community and not just some relic from the past. Today it is home to a nationally acclaimed gymnastics program, Premier Complex. The gym is used almost daily throughout the year and hosts several meets each year that fill the facility to the record crowds we used to see when Clear Lake's fiercest rivals met here to take on the Warriors.
In the past several years the gymnasium roof has developed leaks risking crippling damage to the one-of-a-kind structure. With the greatest appreciation for memories within its walls as a place to experience sporting events, weddings & graduation parties, community plays, and retreats. It still serves the community as a site for physical, mental and spiritual growth.
The Clear Lake Area Community Center, Inc. operates this landmark building as a non profit and depends on tenant rent, day contract receipts, brat stand fundraisers, grants and donations from supporters like you to maintain this historic building. Please consider helping with this worthy cause.
Our hope is that we can protect this building and all of the cherished memories with help from you. In order to continue to serve our beloved community, we must maintain the integrity of the building. Please donate what you can. Stop by to see the landmark for yourself. Every penny given helps support our community through the events that are held there.
