Hello, my name is Hamid Alani, and I am a proud member of Legacy Program 208. We are working to support CAST LA (Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking), an incredible organization dedicated to ending human trafficking and helping survivors rebuild their lives.
Skid Row and the South Figueroa Corridor are hotbeds for human trafficking. Vulnerable individuals, including foster youth, are often targeted and exploited. Many foster children, aging out of the system without adequate support, find themselves at higher risk of homelessness, making them prime targets for traffickers.
CAST LA is at the forefront of the fight against this atrocity. They provide survivors with critical resources like shelter, legal aid, counseling, and job training, empowering them to reclaim their independence and dignity. Their programs not only rescue survivors but also prevent future exploitation by advocating for systemic change and raising awareness.
We need your help to ensure that these life-saving programs continue to grow and reach the many survivors who desperately need support. Every dollar raised goes toward providing essential services and creating a safety net for survivors, especially foster youth who face overwhelming odds.
