Cycling Ladies in Tech
Welcome to the Cycling Ladies in Tech 2019 GoFundMe Campaign for CodeKitty!
Before we get into things, we want to let you know that 100% of donations for this GoFundMe go directly to Code Kitty, and may be tax deductible :D
And now, about us!
Cycling Ladies and Tech is composed of two women employed in the tech industry in the Twin Cities, Morgan and Laura. They met several years ago in a desktop support job and became fast friends. In addition to their shared love of technical problem solving, they discovered a shared love of biking on the many and vast trails in the area.
Last year, Morgan and Laura decided to bike to Duluth, a goal that each had since their love of cycling was sparked.
They were inspired by campaigns like the MS150 to do this ride not just for leisure or fun, but to raise money for an excellent cause.
Through connections in their network, they discovered that one of their colleagues, Jill Woyak, was the co-founder of Code Kitty, a 501(c)3 non-profit that provides equitable access to technology experiences for elementary-aged students. They use 3D printed robots and coding classes to encourage young students, especially young girls, to gain confidence and ability in technology from a young age.
Laura and Morgan are honored to raise money and ride for this excellent cause, and we hope you'll consider donating to the campaign!
