25th Annual Mother's Day Brunch for Homeless Moms
Support the 25th Annual Mother’s Day Brunch for Mothers Experiencing Homelessness
You can help us in celebrating the strength and resilience of mothers who are overcoming the challenges of homelessness at the Columbus Coalition for the Homeless’s 25th annual Mother’s Day Brunch. This event honors women facing the hardships of homelessness, while drawing attention to the difficult circumstances that many families are experiencing in our community.
Every year, hundreds of mothers in Columbus shelters face obstacles like low income, the affordable housing crisis, and the overwhelming task of securing stability for their families. This pancake breakfast is an opportunity to recognize and show support for these mothers.
We have celebrations planned on Mother's Day Weekend at the YWCA Family Shelter, the YMCA Single and Family shelters, and at COMO, a drop in respite center for women that are trafficked on Sullivant Avenue.
Each mother will also receive a gift bag filled with essential personal items, heartfelt cards, and as much love as we can fit into each gift bag. These events are meant to uplift their spirits and show them they are valued and appreciated.
These Mother’s Day events are only made possible through the generosity of individuals, businesses, and organizations in our community. Your support helps provide hundreds of mothers with a memorable and meaningful Mother’s Day, while raising awareness about the need for affordable housing and services for those experiencing homelessness.
How You Can Help:
Please consider making a donation, volunteering, or contributing to the pancake breakfast and gift bags. Your support will help uplift these
strong women and provide them with a sense of dignity and joy as they face the challenges of homelessness.
