Want to join us in making a difference? We are raising money to benefit the migrant and refugee sanctuaries being hosted by Pastor Gustavo Banda , of the Ambassadors of Jesus Church at the Divine Providence neighborhood in Tijuana.  In these two refugee camps, families are being given food/shelter/clothes/ and community. The Gift of Compassion at Commonweal and the Foundation Regalando Amor (Gifts of Love, in Spanish) have created a collaboration: "Gifts of Love and Compassion in Action."

Donations will be used for food, medicine, hygiene products, AND the creation of a school, small clinic, and playground for migrant kids -- the land purchase must be made by October 10th!  Out of $47, 000 USD we already got $17,000 Please make your donation today !

You can make a difference in the life of a teenager!

Power of Hope is a life-changing experience for teenagers, generated through creativity and the arts. We are raising a $10,000 scholarship fund for 10 young people to attend camp this July 11-18. More than 70% of our youth are on Scholarship and they can only attend because of your donations. Help us reach our goal!
When a teenager says “This camp is like no other camp,” you know they mean it. It is a place where teens can experience their own voice, feel a real community of peers, develop a sense of belonging, and become artists of all kinds. This is a change that sticks with them long after they go home. As one camper said about Camp: “I will [now] be more expressive of my love for the people in my life at home.”


Our Camp is a uniquely transformative experience.

Power of Hope is a week-long summer camp held at Commonweal in Pt. Reyes National Seashore, CA. They come from the East Bay, the North Bay and San Francisco.  Every summer, a group of new and returning youth travel to Bolinas to build connections through the arts, open-hearted conversation, nature, and song. Our staff and volunteers are all artists – spoken word, painters, hip hop, actors, musicians and more who share their skills and passion through different activities. Camp has a Beach Day, an Open Mic Night, a Youth-Led Day, art workshops and a ceremony for graduating seniors. Camp is based on the Creative Community Model developed by Partners for Youth Empowerment. 

Power of Hope relies on your donations to exist. Every contribution counts, no matter how large or small. Please help us make Camp a reality for youth from across the Bay Area, for whom this Camp is an incredibly special experience.
