The CAC #BlackPantherChallenge
As our first point of action, we have been inspired by the #BlackPantherChallenge created by Frederick Joseph in NYC to send kids from Harlem Boys and Girls Club to see this film.
The Community Art Center in the Cambridgeport neighborhood has been a place that has impacted our lives in so many ways. With the founders of Altrusity having been former students and employees, with siblings now apart of their School Age Child Care afterschool program, we have seen the impact the CAC has on the lives of underprivileged youth in the city. From bringing together the city through community art and various initiatives, we'd like to give back by running this campaign and inspire future generations.
Our goal is to fund a group of youth and staff to go watch the Black Panther movie for free. This movie comes out during such an important time where our youth must see that they matter, and are represented in society through such an inspiring movie. Please donate so we can help give back to the community by letting the Community Art Center the chance to make this happen, and inspire students like the CAC has inspired us and the city of Cambridge!
