While JSI/WEI Boston staff cannot gather in person for our annual
World AIDS Day Bake Sale, we still want to show our support for
Community Servings ! Their mission to provide medically-tailored, scratch-made meals to people living in Massachusetts with critical and chronic illnesses (including HIV), who are too sick to shop or cook for themselves, is more important than ever as so many face increased hunger and food insecurity due to COVID.
Pre-pandemic, the Community Servings kitchen was producing and delivering 10,000 meals per week. They are now producing 15,000 meals per week, serving 1,500 people per day. According to a recent estimate, demand is so great that they expect to have prepared 40% more meals in 2020, compared to 2019.
This year, instead of getting a yummy piece of quiche, bowl of soup, slice of cake, or cookie from your donation, everyone who donates will receive a link to our crowdsourced
JSI/WEI Sweet and Savory Bake Sale Recipe Collection!
Please consider contributing what you would typically spend at the in-office bake sale.
Suggested “donations” below:
$5: Monster cookie
$10: Slice of quiche + monster cookie
$20: Slice of quiche, bowl of soup, bag of spiced nuts, + monster cookie
$Other: Custom cake or cookie buffet of your choice!
Over the past 12 years, we have raised over
$14,000 for Community Servings. Help us maintain our fundraising momentum for this wonderful organization at this critical time!
