Cornerstone Relocation
Cornerstone Christian School (CCS) began out of a vision and desire to glorify God by providing a gospel-centered approach to education with high academic standards to the Christian community of Thurston County. Cornerstone opened its doors in the fall of 1993 with one teacher, one classroom, five first grade students, and dedicated parents. Now serving Pre-school through eighth grade, Cornerstone Christian School is a testament to God's provision and the commitment of parents, teachers, and staff to deliver excellence in education in a loving environment that meets the need of the whole child: spiritually, academically, physically, and socially.
After 19 years on the campus of Grace Community in Olympia, Cornerstone relocated to the beautiful campus of Black Lake Bible Camp. In the fall of 2013, we opened our doors at BLBC with 62 K-8th grade students and 17 Preschool students. In the fall of 2016, we doubled our enrollment to 125 K-8th grade students and 35 Preschool/PreKindergarten students. We outgrew the facilities available to us at BLBC. Today, we are still trending towards growth with 134 K-8th grade students enrolled for the 2017-2018 school year. We need a HOME! By God's grace and provision, we have two exciting options. However, we need to renovate space, install fire safety systems, and prepare for the continued growth and goodness that is happening at CCS.
Cornerstone is entering its 24th year of empowering students to pursue academic excellence, experience spiritual growth, and develop Christ-like character. CCS endeavors to foster an exceptional learning community of students who enthusiastically pursue life-long learning and a relationship with Jesus Christ, parents who wholeheartedly partner in their child's education, and qualified Christian faculty and staff who sacrificially invest in the lives of students.
Will you join us in the endeavor? Will you give to the future of these unique, beautiful, full-of-potential, creative, eager learners? Will you see where God is working and join Him in this work?
We are seeking to gain approval for a long-term lease of John Rogers Elementary in Olympia, WA. We are working with the great team at the City of Olympia and the gracious folks of the Olympia School District's facilities team. Our specific needs include:
Design and installation of a fire-safety sprinkler system
Sub-metering for utilities
Cosmetic clean-up of the exterior
Landscaping
Parking lot renewal
Permits
...and all the goodness and great ideas our teachers are ready to implement in this AMAZING space!
Thank you for your contribution to the worthy students of Cornerstone Christian School!
