Give your HeART to Save the ARTs
Why We Need Your Help
In a short time, the COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted every part of our society and economy; especially in the visual and performing arts. Due to the health and safety risks posed by COVID-19, Arts Garage closed its doors to the public on March 14th, 2020.
Even in the midst of a global pandemic, we've pivoted and continued to program events. Although we've kept the music and the art going, the impact of COVID-19 on our organization has made it a challenging year. Like so many other nonprofits and small businesses we are still working to overcome the financial impact, but we need your help to stay alive.
While we are working quickly to reschedule the canceled events, each cancellation has cut deeply into our small not-for-profit as we are largely supported by the City of Delray Beach and the Community Redevelopment Agency, both in our location and financially, where we program over 200 events a year. Our musicians, artists, students, and arts educators have been greatly affected by the cancellations as well as our own staff and volunteers.
We are fundraising to help offset the financial impact felt by our organization through the cancellation of events. Please join us in supporting our cause; no matter what, your contribution will have a lasting impact on Arts Garage, as we continue to grow, build and sustain something magical for our community.
What is Arts Garage?
Visual and performing arts matter. To the emerging artist trying to carve out a career path. To children who need to explore themselves and make sense of their world. To the patron that finds beauty and stimulation in what they see and hear. To communities who need to blur the lines that divide them.
Music and art matter.
Arts Garage is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to deliver innovative, diverse, meaningful and accessible visual and performing arts experiences to Delray Beach and the South Florida community.
Squarely located in the center of the beautifully diverse Delray Beach, Arts Garage reflects the rich medley of the local citizenry in everything it does.
Respectful of the need for diversity of perspective and experience, our staff represents a myriad of cultures and life experiences. Our music programming makes room for everyone with a variety of musical genres and a diversity of culture among our performers. Emerging art programs, in music and the visual arts, provide a platform for local budding artists and musicians from which to launch. Our Arts Education programs engage people from six to eighty-six years old.
Our vision, connecting our community to the world through the arts drives our work. Providing access to everyone who wants to attend ensures that everyone can be a part of the magic that is Arts Garage.
Arts Garage is a popular cultural center in downtown Delray Beach offering:
Music: From Grammy Award winning musicians to emerging, local artists, Arts Garage hosts performers on our main stage, the Stuart & Shelby Theatre, that represent a broad diversity of cultures. While our venue is perhaps best known for our Jazz and Blues programming, we also have a vibrant calendar full of other genres including Rock, Soul, World, Alternative, Hip Hop and Country.
Visual Arts: The Grassroots Gallery at Arts Garage exhibits emerging visual artists from the Delray Beach area. All artists have a reception, aligned with Delray Beach’s monthly Art Walk, drawing people to their exhibit; Arts Garage provides the artists with 70% of revenues earned from the sale of their work. Artist’s Ladder, found in the Stuart & Shelby theatre, provides an opportunity for artist’s further along in their career to showcase their work for thousands of patrons.
Arts Education: With both adult and children’s arts education programming, Arts Garage provides a variety of opportunities for locals to grow their talents and knowledge of the Visual & Performing Arts. From theatre, drumline, and chorus to art and dance, Arts Garage provides meaningful instruction for all ages.
Theatre: Arts Garage stages theatre that represents new work, socially relevant content and community driven performances. While we do not host a traditional theatre season, we continue to provide opportunities for thought-provoking and innovative work.
Volunteers: Our volunteer programs not only provide extra hands to help us fulfill our mission, they also enable even more members of our community to engage with the arts. Our Teen Guild provides young people who are passionate about the visual and performing arts an opportunity to earn community service hours doing what they love. Adult Guild Members enjoy opportunities to earn hours that can be used for Arts Garage performance tickets.

Support Arts Garage through our Music at Home Series!
Following the success of its popular virtual series From Our HeARTS to Your Homes, Arts Garage is proud to announce a brand new, professionally produced music series for homebound entertainment fans missing that unique live concert experience.
According to Marjorie Waldo, President & CEO of Arts Garage, “Music At Home: Live from Arts Garage gives music lovers the best of both worlds—they can watch the concert from the comfort of home while interacting live and in real time with multi-talented performers. The audience can comment during the concert and we’ll make sure the performers know what is being said. They might even respond live. It is as close to being at a live convert as possible under the current pandemic difficulties. Best of all, one person buys the ticket, and a whole room full of friends can watch for free.”
“This new series, like From Our HeARTs before it, is our response to safety concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic that has caused many businesses and arts institutions to temporarily close their doors, including Arts Garage,” she adds.
“But we refuse to let this virus stop the truly transformative power of music and art from giving us joy and hope, and help to heal all that is broken. If ever there has been a time for healing, it’s right now."
The series will also feature top Internationally and regional artists including Nicole Henry, Joel Zoss, Matt Brown, Ariella and more.
Gratitude & Appreciation
We are truly amazed by the support we have garnered from our board of directors, donors, patrons, volunteers, staff and community partners over the years so that we can continue what we do. This pandemic has made it increasingly difficult to maintain daily operations, and with your support, you will help us open our doors much sooner.
We ask YOU to consider giving from your heart to save the arts here at Arts Garage. Every little bit helps, whether you choose to donate $5 or $5000, no donation is too big or too small!
We thank and appreciate all the help from our loyal patrons. It is because of you that we’ve been able to serve our community for so long. We thank you for the continued support to keep the arts alive in the community!
