YallaPunk Fest III
٣ *We’re entering our third year!* ٣
Can you believe that YallaPunk is entering its third year? We started out as just a fest and began year-round programming for the very first time, in 2019. This year, we launched our art exhibits, language conversation groups, and pop up events. We've done SO MUCH! But now it’s time to go back to our roots: it’s that time of year again for YallaPunk Fest.
٣ *YallaPunk Fest, our favorite and first love, the one we keep going back to* ٣
The fest is an annual celebration of SWANA/MENA creatives in the diaspora and beyond, it’s our annual reunion, really. This year we’re expanding it into a four-day multidisciplinary arts event with music, film, comedy poetry, dance, workshops, panel discussions, and a vendor fair. As with all of our events, the fest is an accountable and inclusive space free from sexism, islamophobia, transphobia, homophobia, and bigotry where we can talk about social issues.
٣ *Why do we keep doing this?* ٣
YallaPunk's annual event began as a reaction to negative depictions in mainstream media, our second year was meant for recovery and planning. This year, it's a convening for all of our community members, it’s become an annual reunion. As creatives living in the diaspora, it's difficult for us to call one specific geographic area "home," the idea is to create a temporary home for all creatives to freely express themselves.

We can’t do this alone, we need your help! Our fledgling organization has non-profit status, and we’ve officially started fundraising to make our third annual fest a reality.

$100: All of the above and a YallaPunk t-shirt! EDIT: or a golden camel pin (while supplies last)
$150: All of the above and a weekend pass!
$250: All of the above and priority for workshop sign-ups! Additionally, you'll also get to find out our final line-up before everyone else does!
(First three donors will receive $40 donor level goodies)
