We are Charging Chaos, and we are so excited that we have won our first-ever bid to the State Championship! To make it even better, we are the only school in Volusia County that made it to the State Championship. Charging Chaos is a First Lego Robotics Team from Deltona Middle School. We are a Title 1 school, with over 75% of students receiving free and reduced lunch benefits in a high-need community. Therefore, many of our students cannot provide the funds necessary for travel and expenses to attend the State Championship competition in Niceville, FL.

 

Charging Chaos has worked incredibly hard to make it this far. We need your help to get our budding engineers to this elite competition and provide an unbelievable robotic engineering experience. But of course, that comes with a price tag.

 

We need a total of $10,000 to get to the State Championship competition, which will include hotels, food, gas, supplies, and materials at competition. So any donation you give will help make an impact for these students who would otherwise never receive this opportunity.

 

More information about Charging Chaos: We are a 4th-year team consisting of two 6th graders, one 7th grader, and four 8th graders. They are students that love Engineering, Robotics, and Programming. Our goal is to provide them with opportunities to participate in educational experiences, including travel to competitions in these fields.

Hotel: 12 rooms @$139 per night x 3 nights, $5,004 total

Food: 26 people @$15 per meal x 3 meals per day, $3,510 total

Gas: 400 miles both ways @$4.00 per gallon x 10 vehicles, $1,600 total

Unforeseen Supplies & Materials: $250
