For countless women, acquiring necessities like pure products or bras metamorphoses into a formidable challenge. SNAP benefits, designed to serve as a lifeline, should cover these indispensable essentials. This deficiency is mirrored in the plight of homeless women facing dire circumstances, where the demand for these crucial items vastly exceeds the scant supply available in shelters and public schools across Massachusetts.
Across the nation, thousands of women grapple with the daunting challenge of securing an additional $10 or more each month for essential sanitary supplies. Faced with financial constraints, they are often compelled to resort to unsanitary alternatives, compromising their health and dignity.
