Serving Those Who'veServed
Want to join me in making a difference for our veterans? I'm raising money as a District of Columbia Children of the American Revolution project to benefit the veterans of the Armed Forces Retirement Home leisure activities. This DC state organization of the National Society of the Children of the American Revolution would appreciate any donation to help make an impact for these veterans who've sacrificed for our country and our freedom. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
The Children of the American Revolution (C.A.R.) is an organization with societies at the local, state, and national level whose mission is to train good citizens, develop leaders and promote love of the United States of America and its heritage among young people.
"This State President has a passion to help America’s veterans. With the motto “Serving Those Who’ve Served” she searched through the numerous opportunities within the confines of the District of Columbia. The Armed Forces Retirement Home (AFRH-W) of DC rose above the rest to become her choice for the 2019-2020 State Project. The original facilities were established in 1831 (US Naval Asylum) and 1851 (Army, US Soldiers Home) but were merged into the current organization in 1991. The retirees are veterans from varied backgrounds and experiences with stories covering many aspects of US history and leadership. D.C.C.A.R. members will be able to learn about US history from these veterans who’ve provided for our freedoms and learn from their leadership examples.
The goal of this D.C.C.A.R. project is aimed to enhance the veteran retiree experience through leisure and learning activities – specifically assist in the modernization of their BINGO equipment and provide outdoor equipment for leisure and gardening. At the AFRH-W “the possibilities for a rich and rewarding retirement are endless” and “Serving Those Who’ve Serve” will help support the AFRH-W efforts!"
