Two emaciated Doberman dogs abandoned
I'm raising money to benefit Doberman Rescue League Inc. This rescue stepped up for two Doberman dogs that were found abandoned in a Miami truck yard.
I volunteer for Redland Rockpit Abandoned Dogs Project feeding stray dogs. I went on my feeding route Saturday afternoon and found an emaciated Doberman. The rescue I volunteer for contacted a partner organization that saves Dobermans in South Florida and they did not hesitate to help.
I drove the dog (Phoenix) to the veterinarian right away thinking I had seen the worst that weekend.
The following day, on the same route, I found ANOTHER emaciated Doberman. He walked over to me hoping he would be safe. The video I took of his little hop to me engraved in my memory. He was in much worse shape than Phoenix. He was anemic and was bleeding from his rectum. Both dogs had low red blood cell count but are improving daily.
Im creating this fundraiser to cover Phoenix and Baxter’s vet bills and to show my appreciation for the rescue that so quickly stepped up for them. Throughout the years, Ginny and Grace have done a wonderful job making sure these dogs are rescued, seen and taken care of by a veterinarian, and later adopted into exceptional homes.
