We were informed of an urgent crisis in Northern Kenya where we have started a few programs to help save our wildlife and educate the next generation of conservationist. The current drought and the prices of fuel and food have made a bad situation extremely dangerous for everyone and everything in the Samburu community.

 

Water has become even more expensive to get to these remote villages as the cost of fuel has doubled in the past few months. Right now it costs $200USD a month to keep the 10,000L water tank full of usable drinking water for the people, livestock and nearby wildlife.

 

The situation has become so grave, the pastoralist communities are having to purchase hay to feed their livestock as natural grazing areas have become barren land with no vegetation. Many people are having to decide to purchase hay to keep their livestock alive and forgo meals of their own as the cost of corn meal has more than doubled during the drought. Without money for food, many elderly are having to rely on others and beg.

 

Our goal with this GoFundMe is to raise enough funds to keep the 10,000L water tank full for 6 months and also to provide meals to the elderly population for 6 months.

Hello, my name is Quinn Morrison, and I am a Life Scout from Troop 2. I am currently working toward earning the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest achievement in Scouting.

For my Eagle Scout project, I am partnering with a foundation that is dedicated to helping pregnant dogs safely give birth to their puppies, Puppy B.R.E.A.T.H. This organization is deeply committed to ensuring these dogs and their puppies receive the care and support they need during such a vulnerable time. As part of this effort, I will be building a specialized, safe environment designed to support the puppies’ early development, providing them with the sensory experiences and space they need to thrive.

This project is especially important because it will directly contribute to the well-being of these puppies, helping them grow healthy and strong, and preparing them for their eventual adoption into loving homes. By creating this safe environment, I can help ensure that the foundation has the resources to better care for the dogs in need.

To bring this Eagle Scout Project to life, I am reaching out to the community for support. I am seeking donations to cover the materials needed for this project. Any funds raised above and beyond the project’s needs will be donated directly to the foundation to further their mission.

Sunday Feb 11th, 3 puppies and Navajo were admitted to the emergency vet for overnight care. The bill for that visit alone was $5,387 which had to be paid upfront before the dogs could even be taken to the back. We are in urgent need of support as medical bills have already exceeded $12,000 in just two weeks of their care.

A resilient momma dog named Mia and her five adorable puppies fell victim to the devastating parvo virus. The Doglando Foundation, dedicated to keeping families together, faces a heartbreaking challenge as the medical bills will exceed $12,000. One of the puppies is in critical condition in ICU while the other 4 are isolation and observation. Now, our plea for help echoes through the community, seeking support to give these innocent lives a chance for a brighter future.

Two litters of puppies and their mommas were rescued from South Texas in late January and given a second chance at life through Doglando Foundation's Puppy B.R.E.A.T.H. Project. With an unwavering commitment, our primary goal is to ensure that our two mommas and their precious puppies remain together for a full 16 weeks. This extended period allows them the time to learn, grow, and experience the warmth of a loving environment, setting the foundation for a brighter and happier life ahead.
