Drought Relief for Samburu People & Wildlife.
Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit the Wildlife Resource Conversation Center in Kenya, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us.
We were informed of an urgent crisis in Northern Kenya where we have started a few programs to help save our wildlife and educate the next generation of conservationist. The current drought and the prices of fuel and food have made a bad situation extremely dangerous for everyone and everything in the Samburu community.
Water has become even more expensive to get to these remote villages as the cost of fuel has doubled in the past few months. Right now it costs $200USD a month to keep the 10,000L water tank full of usable drinking water for the people, livestock and nearby wildlife.
The situation has become so grave, the pastoralist communities are having to purchase hay to feed their livestock as natural grazing areas have become barren land with no vegetation. Many people are having to decide to purchase hay to keep their livestock alive and forgo meals of their own as the cost of corn meal has more than doubled during the drought. Without money for food, many elderly are having to rely on others and beg.
Our goal with this GoFundMe is to raise enough funds to keep the 10,000L water tank full for 6 months and also to provide meals to the elderly population for 6 months.
$200USD to fill water tank per month.
$200USD to feed local elderly 3 meals per day.

With your help we can make sure these people and animals have access to clean water and food during this difficult time.
